Football Preview: Pisgah Dragons vs. Sebastopol Bobcats

Pisgah hasn't had much luck against Sebastopol recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Pisgah Dragons will take on the Sebastopol Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Pisgah didn't have too much trouble with Richton at home as they won 35-20. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dragons.

Pisgah can attribute much of their success to Ethan Prater, who rushed for 125 yards and two touchdowns, and Caleb Grant, who rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Pisgah's defense and their six sacks. Bam Stewart was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up twohimself. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up two sacks and making nine total tackles (3.0 for loss). Pisgah got some further help from Lane Prestage: he made 13 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Pisgah was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 347 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 234 rushing yards in six consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Sebastopol's rock-solid defense showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Friday. They never let Lake onto the board and left with a 13-0 win.

Adarius McDougle was a one-man wrecking crew for Sebastopol as he rushed for 173 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 64 yards and a touchdown on only five passes. McDougle really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run.

Pisgah's record is now 2-0. As for Sebastopol, their record now sits at 3-0.
