Baseball Recap: Central Picks Up 16th Straight Win at Home

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Central walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Philadelphia Performing Arts Knight with a sharp 20-1 win on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Lancers, who have now won nine contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Central pushed their record up to 13-8 with the victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Philadelphia Performing Arts, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4-1.

Looking ahead, Central is taking a road trip to square off against Lansdale Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Philadelphia Performing Arts does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
