Volleyball Recap: Johnsburg Extends Winning Streak to Four

Johnsburg had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They came out on top against the Lutheran Crusaders by a score of 2-0. This was payback for the Skyhawks, who suffered a 2-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Johnsburg was: they took both sets by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-11.

Kaia Sasak paced Johnsburg's offense, picking up seven kills. Sasak got some help from Adelaide Bruns and her 12 assists. Bruns was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Johnsburg's victory bumped their record up to 19-13. As for Lutheran, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 15 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-19 record this season.

Johnsburg will square off against Woodstock at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lutheran, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rockford Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
