Basketball Recap: Niangua Comes Up Short

Niangua lost against Billings back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Niangua Cardinals were outmatched by the Billings Wildcats and fell 57-18. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 499th, while the Wildcats are ranked 213th).

Niangua's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Billings, they pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Niangua Cardinals duke it out with the Crocker Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Billings, they will host New Covenant Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
