Football Recap: Somerset Academy Losee Takes a Loss

Somerset Academy Losee extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They took a blow against the Viewmont Vikings, falling 41-6. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-6.

As for Viewmont, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 38.0 points this season.

It was another big night for Jack Savage, who threw for 317 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.7 yards per attempt. Savage is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: he's passed for at least three every time he's taken the field this season. Benji Tolman helped Savage out on the ground, rushing for 47 yards and one TD, while also picking up 43 receiving yards.

Somerset Academy Losee wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 59-28 defeat against Las Vegas on the 19th. As for Viewmont, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 42-7 loss against Brighton on the 19th.
