Preview: Adairsville Tigers vs. Coahulla Creek Colts

Adairsville is 7-0 against Coahulla Creek since October of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Adairsville Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Coahulla Creek Colts at 7:30 p.m. Adairsville will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Last Friday, Adairsville earned a 28-21 victory over Bremen.

Adairsville relied on the efforts of Jonathan Gough, who threw for 257 yards and three touchdowns on only nine passes, and Tre Winters, who picked up 211 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Winters' longest reception was for an incredible 98 yards. Jamarian Pullum was another key contributor, rushing for 68 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.

Meanwhile, after only seven points in their last game, Coahulla Creek made sure to put some points up on the board against LaFayette on Friday. Coahulla Creek simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat LaFayette 48-9 at home. The result was nothing new for Coahulla Creek, who have now won four matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.

Coahulla Creek's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chase Ward led the charge by throwing for 184 yards and three touchdowns, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Karim Bradley also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.

Adairsville's win was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-2. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-9 Ridgeland and 2-7 LaFayette (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 30.6% over those games). As for Coahulla Creek, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Adairsville strolled past Coahulla Creek when the teams last played back in November of 2022 by a score of 48-33. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Coahulla Creek's Kace Kinnamon, who threw for 288 yards and two touchdowns. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be that much easier for Adairsville to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
