Baseball Recap: Liberty Comes Up Short

Liberty fell victim to Edmonds-Woodway and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The Patriots just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Liberty saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Bell, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Edmonds-Woodway, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.

Looking ahead, Liberty will look to defend their home field on Monday against Bothell at 4:30 p.m. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Edmonds-Woodway, they are taking a road trip to take on Arlington at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
