Basketball Game Preview: Farmington Cardinals vs. Stuttgart Ricebirds

The Farmington Cardinals and the Stuttgart Ricebirds will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.

Farmington is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arkansas' top teams: Forrest City, who was ranked fifth at the time (Farmington was ranked third). Farmington fell 52-39 to Forrest City on Thursday. The Cardinals' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Stuttgart put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 59-52 victory over England. While the Ricebirds didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Stuttgart pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Farmington, their defeat ended a 22-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-1.
