Softball Game Preview: Ridge Community Bolts vs. Lakeland Dreadnaughts

The Ridge Community Bolts will challenge the Lakeland Dreadnaughts at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Ridge Community fell victim to Lake Gibson and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 13-0 to the Braves. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Bolts' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Lakeland unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against Frostproof on Tuesday, falling 16-2.

Yaneliz Olivo made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-3.

Ridge Community suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Lakeland in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Ridge Community avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
