Basketball Game Preview: Marshall Christian Academy Stallions vs. Master's Hand Christian Warriors

The Marshall Christian Academy Stallions will square off against the Master's Hand Christian Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Marshall Christian Academy has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with four straight defeats, while Master's Hand Christian will come in with six straight wins.

Marshall Christian Academy came up short against Mt. Pleasant Christian on Tuesday, falling 58-33. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Stallions have suffered against the Lions since February 4, 2022.

While Master's Hand Christian didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 75-62 victory over Pineview Christian on Saturday. Given Master's Hand Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 118th, while Pineview Christian is ranked 242nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Marshall Christian Academy better keep an eye on Braedon Canuteson. He was instrumental in Master's Hand Christian's win, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds. Canuteson's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Branson Solomon, who went 7 of 13 en route to 15 points and seven rebounds.

Marshall Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Master's Hand Christian, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
