Baseball Recap: West Morris Central Takes a Loss

West Morris Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 5-1 to the Delbarton Green Wave. If the Wolfpack were looking for revenge after losing 9-1 to the Green Wave when the teams met back in May of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Nick Rotundo was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed six innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

West Morris Central's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Delbarton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.

West Morris Central will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Hunterdon Central at 11:00 a.m. Delbarton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
