Baseball Recap: Eastern Gets the Win

Eastern lost to Athens back in May of 2025, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Eagles walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Bulldogs. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly four runs.

The win made it two in a row for Eastern and bumps their season record up to 14-7. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Athens, they dropped their record down to 14-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Eastern has already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Southeastern on the 13th. As for Athens, they will take on Parkersburg at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
