Basketball Recap: Le Roy Takes a Loss

Le Roy lost against Avon back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Le Roy Oatkan Knights came up short against the Avon Braves, falling 77-57. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Oatkan Knights have suffered against the Braves since January 18, 2019.

Despite the loss, Le Roy still got an impressive performance from Brayden Chase, who posted 12 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Aaric Luce, who had nine points.

This is the second loss in a row for Le Roy and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for Avon, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Le Roy will head out to face off against Pavilion at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Avon, they will head out on the road to challenge York at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. York will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Avon surely won't give up without a fight.
