Basketball Recap: Parker Takes a Loss

Parker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 61-32 loss at the hands of the Dell Rapids Quarriers. While losing is never fun, the Pheasants can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 131st, while the Quarriers are ranked 42nd).

Dell Rapids' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tad Tjaden, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 14 points along with five boards and five steals. Tjaden continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Jack Kloth was another key player, as he made all 6 shots he took for 13 points in addition to seven rebounds and six blocks.

Parker's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Dell Rapids, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Parker has already played their next contest (against Canton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Dell Rapids has also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Madison.
