While Palisades put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Lehighton. The Pirates put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 14-0 win. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.
Palisades got a massive performance out of Catie Russo, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those four RBI gave Russo a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Rhiley Poniktera, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Palisades was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .480. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Palisades has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Lehighton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
Looking ahead, Palisades will venture away from home to take on Palmerton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Bombers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Pirates surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lehighton, they will be playing at home against Saucon Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
