Baseball Recap: West Warwick Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact West Warwick can now relate to. They fell just short of the Central Knights by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The Wizards were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 6-3.

West Warwick saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Hunt, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Hunt has hit this season.

West Warwick has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-8 record this season. As for Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

West Warwick didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-2 win against St. Raphael Academy on the 29th. As for Central, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against East Greenwich on the 29th.
