Baseball Game Preview: Southampton Mariners vs. John Glenn Knights

For the second straight game, Southampton will face off against John Glenn. The Mariners will venture away from home to square off against the Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Southampton barely beat John Glenn the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mariners put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 10-4 victory on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Mariners considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Lucas Magnozzi was a major factor no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted over his last 12 games.
