Basketball Recap: Van Horn Takes a Loss

Van Horn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 68-25 loss at the hands of the Iraan Braves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Braves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-35 back in January.

Luke Carrillo and Miguel Baeza certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Carrillo posted 12 points, while Baeza put up seven points. That's the most points Baeza has posted since back in November of 2024.

Van Horn's defeat dropped their record down to 11-16. As for Iraan, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-14.

Van Horn has already played their next matchup, a 67-22 loss against Wink on the 11th. As for Iraan, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-56 defeat against McCamey on the 11th.
