 Cheatham County Central had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 runs), and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They came out on top against the Sycamore War Eagles by a score of  8-4. That's more bragging rights for Cheatham County Central, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
  Riley Knox spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and two unearned) runs on nine hits.
 On the hitting side,  Gracie Belle Weakley was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4.  Macie Harter was another key contributor,  going 3-for-4 with a  triple, a  run,  and  an  RBI.
 On Sycamore's side, they also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in:  Gaibriella Allen gave up  just two earned  (and six unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks.
 At the plate,  Alyrae Greene made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-4 with a  stolen base, two  RBI,  and a  double.
 Cheatham County Central has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight games,  which provided a massive bump to their 9-5 record  this season. As for Sycamore, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with that  loss, which was their third straight  at home.
