Softball Recap: Riverside Takes a Loss

Riverside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 18-2 to the Christ's Church Academy Eagles. If the Generals were looking for revenge after losing 23-4 to the Eagles when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

A Miller was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2. A Jackson was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Riverside's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Christ's Church Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverside will host Sandalwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Christ's Church Academy, they will be playing at home against St. Joseph Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
