Lakeside scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Bonners Ferry Badgers by a score of 78-75. Even though they lost, the Knights' still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.5 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

When it comes to explaining why Lakeside lost, don't look at Kyleigh Wolfe. Despite the final result, she went 8-for-20 to rack up 39 points. Those 39 points gave Wolfe a new career-high. Saydee Peone was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Bonners Ferry was led to victory by Sydney Hinthorn and Taren Bateman. Hinthorn dropped a double-double with 22 points and 12 boards, while Bateman almost dropped a double-double with 22 points and nine rebounds. Bateman is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 16 or more in the last 11 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Alexys Mierke, who posted four points along with five rebounds and four steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Lakeside and nudges their season record down to 9-7. Their recent woes sure aren't a result of their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 42.1% in those games and 25.1% outside of them. As for Bonners Ferry, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Lakeside has already played their next contest, a 72-27 victory against Clark Fork on the 1st. As for Bonners Ferry, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 58-23 win against Genesis Prep Academy on the 31st.
