It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Watseka ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Iroquois West Raiders 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Warriors have posted since April 22, 2024.

The win was the fourth in a row for Watseka, bringing their record up to 6-12. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Iroquois West, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Watseka will venture away from home to take on Donovan at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Iroquois West, they will welcome St. Anne at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.86 runs per game on average), something the Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of.
