Basketball Recap: Central Takes a Loss

Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Darlington Falcons 64-11. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in December of 2023.

Jariyah Sowell was Central's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Sowell also led the team in rebounds with five.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Darlington, their win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Ballantyne Ridge at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Darlington, they and Lamar will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played.
