Soccer Recap: Garland Comes Up Short

Garland came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 7-0 to the Wylie Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in January.

Garland moved to 7-9 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three matchups. As for Wylie, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 17-0.

Coincidentally, Garland and Wylie will both be playing Lakeview Centennial the next time they take the pitch. Garland will host Lakeview Centennial at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while Wylie will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on March 11th.
