Basketball Recap: Upper Darby Comes Up Short

Upper Darby lost against Lower Merion back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Upper Darby Royals lost to the Lower Merion Aces at home by a 70-53 margin. While losing is never fun, the Royals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 435th, while the Aces are ranked 24th).

Upper Darby has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Lower Merion, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Upper Darby will face off against Strath Haven at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lower Merion, they will square off against Marple Newtown at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
