Softball Preview: Loretto Mustangs vs. Summertown Eagles        
        
		
            
 The Loretto Mustangs will head out on the road to  take on  the Summertown Eagles at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average, (Loretto: 3.2, Summertown: 3.2) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
 On Monday, Loretto narrowly escaped with a  win as the  team sidled past Lewis County  4-3. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Loretto.
 Loretto's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Kiersten Randell, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 Meanwhile, Summertown entered their tilt with Lewis County with three consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with four. They never let the Panthers onto the board and left with  a   7-0  win  on Tuesday.
 Loretto has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record  this season. As for Summertown, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
 Loretto might still be hurting after the  11-1 loss they got from Summertown  in their previous matchup  back in May of 2023. Can Loretto avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
