Football Recap: Wheeler Comes Up Short on the Road Against North Forsyth

Wheeler had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 25-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Forsyth Raiders. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Wheeler lost, don't look at Greg Kendrick. Despite the final result, he rushed for 118 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also picked up 41 receiving yards. Kendrick was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 53 yards.

Darron Parry had a dynamite game For North Forsyth., rushing for 129 yards and two scores. Those 129 rushing yards gave Parry a new career-high.

Coming up, Wheeler will head out to square off against Harrison at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for North Forsyth, they will welcome Creekview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
