Volleyball Recap: Arrupe Jesuit Takes a Loss

If Arrupe Jesuit was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Arvada last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Generals came up short against the Middle Park Panthers on Saturday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on October 8th.

Arrupe Jesuit's offense was headlined by Arelly Diaz and Ashley Padilla Martinez, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Yulisa Garcia and her ten assists. Finally, Diaz was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Middle Park found their leader in freshman Brooke Riddle-Robinson, who had six digs and four aces. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for Riddle-Robinson.

Arrupe Jesuit's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Middle Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Arrupe Jesuit has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Bennett on the 25th. As for Middle Park, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Fort Lupton on the 25th.
