Baseball Recap: Tempe Prep Takes a Loss

Tempe Prep was the 18-0 winner over North Valley Christian Academy when they last played one another back in March of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Tempe Prep Knights lost 8-2 to the North Valley Christian Academy Lions on Wednesday. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tempe Prep saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carlos Gastelum, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. That RBI was Gastelum's first of the season.

Tempe Prep's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for North Valley Christian Academy, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-9-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tempe Prep will challenge San Tan Charter at 3:45 p.m. on March 27th. As for North Valley Christian Academy, they will square off against Hayden at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
