Volleyball Game Preview: Oak Park-River Forest Huskies vs. Glenbrook North Spartans

The Oak Park-River Forest Huskies will head out to take on the Glenbrook North Spartans at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Oak Park-River Forest will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Oak Park-River Forest is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Illinois' top teams: Lane Tech, who was ranked 14th at the time (Oak Park-River Forest was ranked seventh). The Huskies came out on top against the Champions by a score of 2-0 on Thursday.

Oak Park-River Forest never let Lane Tech on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Glenbrook North, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They skirted past Deerfield 2-1. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Glenbrook North had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-20, 25-22.

Oak Park-River Forest pushed their record up to 21-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Glenbrook North, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
