Basketball Recap: Onaga Takes a Loss

Onaga was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 57-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oskaloosa Bears. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Buffaloes of the 47-29 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Onaga's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Oskaloosa, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-10 record this season.

Looking ahead, Onaga will welcome Washington County at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. Onaga is facing Washington County at the right time seeing as Washington County is stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Oskaloosa, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 43-38 defeat against Jefferson County North on the 11th.
