Softball Game Preview: Torres Toros vs. Coalinga Horned Toads

The Torres Toros will head out to square off against the Coalinga Horned Toads at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Wednesday, Torres was able to grind out a solid victory over Sunnyside, taking the game 6-1. The win continues a trend for the Toros in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won three in a row.

Mylah Avila was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. Nevaeh Chavez was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Coalinga hadn't done well against Fowler recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Coalinga put the hurt on Fowler with a sharp 12-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Horned Toads.

Torres' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Coalinga, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
