Football Recap: Roger Haney's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Raytown over Fort Osage

If Raytown was feeling good fresh off their 60-12 takedown of Truman last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bluejays fell 36-28 to the Fort Osage Indians on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bluejays in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost four in a row.

Raytown's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Roger Haney, who picked up 101 receiving yards and one TD.

Raytown didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Armon Weathers.

Raytown's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Fort Osage, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.
