Softball Recap: Chino Gets the Win

Chino was not the first on the board on Wednesday, but they got there more often. They walked away with a 13-8 victory over the Diamond Ranch Panthers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-8 back in March.

Melody Stark was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles and one triple. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Samantha Juarez was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Chino was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .545. They are 4-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The win got Chino back to even at 6-6. As for Diamond Ranch, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.

Chino will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
