It was a good run, but Muscle Shoals unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 3-1 to the James Clemens Jets. If the Trojans were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Jets when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Muscle Shoals started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-18, 25-23, 25-21.

Their offense was headlined by Makenzie Sears and Janiyah Oates, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Olivia Chapman and her 34 assists. Finally, Oates was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Muscle Shoals' loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for James Clemens, they pushed their record up to 13-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Muscle Shoals didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Randolph School on the 13th. As for James Clemens, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Westminster on the 12th.
