Softball Recap: Bartram Trail Victorious

The Bartram Trail Bears beat the Buchholz Bobcats 6-1 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bears.

Rommeney Patrey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Andi Gooch, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Hailey Allen was another key player, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Bartram Trail's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Buchholz, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.

Bartram Trail has already played their next match, a 1-0 win against Tocoi Creek on the 2nd. As for Buchholz, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 14-5 loss against Bradford on the 31st.
