After low-scoring totals in their previous six matchup, Monett brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Central Bulldogs a 17-0 shutout on Monday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Cubs as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Monett now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Central, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.
