Basketball Recap: Penncrest Picks Up 12th Straight Win on the Road

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Penncrest walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out the Pottsville Crimson Tide 46-43. The win was familiar territory for the Lions, who have now won three contests in a row.

Pottsville's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Christian Alvarez, who made all 6 shots he took for 17 points. That was a full 39.5% of Pottsville's points, marking the third time in a row Alvarez has posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Letrel Montone, who earned 11 points.

Penncrest pushed their record up to 23-4 with the victory, which was their 12th straight on the road. As for Pottsville, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-7.
