Baseball Recap: Norwalk Comes Up Short

Norwalk suffered their biggest defeat since February 19th on Tuesday. They lost 11-2 to the Mayfair Monsoons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Monsoons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-7 on March 7th.

David Ibarra put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that he hit this season.

Norwalk's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Mayfair, their record now sits at 9-5.

Looking ahead, Mayfair will venture away from home to face off against Hillcrest at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Norwalk will be paying especially close attention to Mayfair's contest: after Mayfair faces off against Hillcrest, they'll take on Norwalk again at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
