Carlmont and Burlingame are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Scots will be playing at home against the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Carlmont's offense. They lost 7-0 to Capuchino on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Scots have suffered since March 4th.

Carlmont saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Luzzo, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, Burlingame also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Los Gatos on Saturday, falling 6-0. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Panthers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

This is the second loss in a row for Carlmont and nudges their season record down to 9-11. As for Burlingame, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.
