The Hampden Broncos will square off against the Bangor Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Bangor took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Hampden, who comes in off a win.
Hampden barely beat Messalonskee the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Broncos' pitcher stepped up to hand the Eagles a 6-0 shutout on Wednesday. The Broncos haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Not much got past Cat Facchini, who gave up just three hits and racked up 17 Ks to keep Messalonskee off the board. Those 17 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for Facchini.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Aubrey Shaw, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Piper Parker, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Bangor faced Brewer in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Rams fell 4-1 to the Witches. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Kaylee Folsom put in work no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That one hit allowed gave her a new career-low. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.
Folsom wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Abby Folsom, who went 1-for-3 with one double.
Bangor's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Hampden, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Hampden has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Bangor struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
