Baseball Recap: Edgewood Academy Comes Up Short

Edgewood Academy has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 2.83 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They fell just short of the Lowndes Academy Rebels by a score of 10-9. The loss was the Wildcats' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Edgewood Academy fell to 5-1. As for Lowndes Academy, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-1.

Coincidentally, Edgewood Academy and Lowndes Academy will both be playing Ezekiel Academy the next time they take the field. Lowndes Academy will head out to face Ezekiel Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Edgewood Academy will head out to face them at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
