Softball Recap: Eisenhower Beats Rialto for Their Third Straight Win

While Eisenhower's victory against Rialto wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Knights on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted against the Knights since May 26, 2021.

Jenna Vallin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on seven hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Milani Paige, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Alondra Hernandez, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

The win (which was Eisenhower's third in a row) raised their record to 5-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Rialto, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
