Basketball Recap: College Park Academy Comes Up Short

College Park Academy lost against Oxon Hill back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. College Park Academy were dealt a 74-19 loss at the hands of the Oxon Hill Clippers. While losing is never fun, College Park Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while Oxon Hill is ranked 98th).

Leading Oxon Hill to victory were Aaliyah Conteh and Dashani Coleman. Conteh posted 20 points, while Coleman put up 17 points. That's the most points Conteh has posted since back in January of 2024. Nevaeh Hodges was another key player, putting up ten points.

College Park Academy's defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Oxon Hill, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-5.

College Park Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 61-36 victory against Potomac on the 6th. As for Oxon Hill, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 78-7 win against Central on the 6th.
