Recap: Comstock Colts vs. Maple Valley Lions

The Comstock Colts's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They fell just short of Maple Valley by a score of 58-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Maple Valley was led to victory by Ayden Wilkes and Teegen McDonald. Wilkes scored 23 points along with five rebounds, while McDonald scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and four blocks. That's the first time this season that McDonald posted two or more blocks. Noah Musser was another key contributor, scoring six points.

Comstock has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Maple Valley, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Comstock will take on Hartford at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Maple Valley, they will head out on the road to square off against Concord at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Concord presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Maple Valley in Michigan (Concord is ranked 228th, while Maple Valley is ranked 513th).
