Softball Recap: Harrison Beats Mamaroneck for Their Eighth Straight Win

Harrison had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Wednesday. They blew past the Mamaroneck Tigers 15-3. Considering the Huskies have won seven contests by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Gia Pinilla was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was AlexiA CozzAli, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three runs.

Harrison was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .541. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .414 or higher in five consecutive games.

Harrison's win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Mamaroneck, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-8.
