Soccer Recap: Research Triangle Comes Up Short

Research Triangle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the NCSSM: Durham Unicorns, falling 9-0. Research Triangle were not able to make up for their defeat to NCSSM: Durham from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Research Triangle's loss dropped their record down to 1-6-1. As for NCSSM: Durham, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4-1.

Research Triangle will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Falls Lake at 6:00 p.m. on April 7. As for NCSSM: Durham, they are taking a road trip to face off against Franklin Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Franklin Academy will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something NCSSM: Durham surely won't give up without a fight.
