Softball Recap: John Marshall Comes Up Short

John Marshall was the 6-4 winner over University when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. John Marshall took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of University on Thursday.

John Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for University, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. John Marshall will head out to take on Buckhannon-Upshur at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. John Marshall's pitchers better be ready for this one: Buckhannon-Upshur has averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for University, they will head out on the road to square off against Petersburg at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
