For the second straight game, Westlake will face off against Farmington. The Thunder will square off against the Phoenix at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Westlake is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.1 runs per game this season.

Westlake is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They put the hurt on Farmington with a sharp 14-5 victory. The result was nothing new for the Thunder, who have now won 15 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Brilynn Attebery spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on ten hits.

On the hitting side, Westlake got a massive performance out of Ryan Pead, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI. That's the most hits Pead has posted since back in April. Audrey Sherman was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Westlake kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They are 15-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

The win made it two in a row for Westlake and bumps their season record up to 19-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Farmington, their loss dropped their record down to 13-11.

Farmington's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Westlake has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11 hits per game. It's a different story for Farmington, though, as they've been averaging 9 hits. Given Westlake's sizable advantage in that area, the Phoenix will need to find a way to close that gap.
