Volleyball Recap: Andover Comes Up Short

Andover and Spring Lake Park squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Andover had to settle for second. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Huskies have suffered since April 16th.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Spring Lake Park scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-19, 25-19.

Leading Spring Lake Park to victory were Gabe Molitor and Hector Ly. Molitor had 21 digs and three assists, while Ly had 23 assists and two aces. That's the most aces Ly has posted over his last eight matchups.

This is the second loss in a row for Andover and nudges their season record down to 14-11. As for Spring Lake Park, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Andover nor Spring Lake Park have any future games scheduled.
